YARRUNGA RESERVE

Public BBQ

Yarrunga Reserve spreads across substantial grounds where a picturesque pond hosts resident duck families and serves as a focal point for painters and photographers. The recently upgraded playground bundles multiple play elements together, including a charming cubby house with tiny slide for toddlers and a larger structure with metal slide for older children. Walking and cycling trails connect to neighbouring parks, enabling extended outings through the green space, whilst tennis courts provide additional activity options. BBQ facilities and limited picnic tables service the area, though the absence of toilet facilities marks a notable gap in amenities. The reserve's peaceful character persists despite various recreational activities, and recent landscaping works around the lake have enhanced the venue's appeal for both casual visits and hosted events, though signage could be more prominent for first-time visitors.
