WULABA PARK

Public BBQ

Wulaba Park sits quietly among Waterloo's apartment towers, immediately announcing itself with an enormous slide that seems to defy both gravity and parental nerves. The centrepiece tower dominates the space like a cheerful monument to childhood ambition, clearly designed with the over-fives in mind. The park strikes that peculiar Australian balance of practical functionality - proper BBQ facilities, plenty of grassy space, smart toilets, and a bubbler for refreshment. This unfenced playground manages to feel both exposed and protected, surrounded by quiet streets.
