WUBIN REST AREA

Public BBQ

Wubin Rest Area proves itself a proper outback pit stop with excellent facilities for travelling families. The water and RV dump point work brilliantly - essential when you're crossing the wheatbelt. The toilets are generally spotless thanks to dedicated cleaners who clearly take pride in their work. What sets this place apart is the museum and visitors centre - definitely worth the detour to stretch your legs and learn some local history. The old pub wasn't open during our evening stay, but locals rave about their wood-fired pizzas that are apparently "to die for." While the BBQ facilities handle the basics well enough, it's the combination of practical amenities and unexpected cultural attractions that makes Wubin more than just another roadside stop.
