WOOLLOONGABBA ROTARY PARK

Public BBQ

Woolloongabba Rotary Park strikes you as one of those unpretentious neighbourhood gems that somehow manages to tick most boxes without making a fuss about it. The BBQ facilities are well-positioned among decent shade, though the playground equipment has clearly seen better decades and could use a refresh given the area's growing popularity. What sets this park apart is its thoughtfully designed off-leash dog area - properly fenced and spacious enough for a proper run, though the far corners get surprisingly dark after sunset. The half-court basketball attracts a reliable after-work crowd, while the wide, level paths make it unexpectedly popular with skateboarding grandchildren.
