WOODFORD PARK

Public BBQ

Woodford Park sits quietly along Woodford Road like a well-kept suburban secret, the sort of place that makes you wonder why more parks don't get the basics so refreshingly right. The barbecue facilities here have that reassuring, no-nonsense quality that suggests someone actually thought about what families need rather than what looked good in a council brochure. The nearby playground creates that perfect synergy where parents can flip sausages while keeping one eye on their offspring's gravitational experiments. What strikes you most is the thoughtful spacing - everything feels deliberately placed rather than randomly scattered. The toilets, mercifully, are positioned close enough to matter when small bladders reach critical capacity, yet far enough away to maintain the illusion of dining al fresco. It's the kind of park that doesn't try to be anything more than exactly what it is: a reliable spot for a weekend barbie that actually works.
