WELLS PARK

Public BBQ

A favourite local park and leisure area with beachfront views, well set up for a day out: barbecues, grassed areas, seating, picnic spots, good parking, and amenities including toilets and change rooms that are kept clean and tidy. The water is the draw — good swimming, snorkelling and fishing close by. The playground has semi-shaded equipment and suits children of about three and up. Dogs are commonly about. Some longtime visitors feel successive redevelopments have taken something away from what the place once was.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
