WEBBER RESERVE

Public BBQ

Webber Reserve in Willagee stands out for its nature-based adventure playground where kids climb over rocks, up ropes, along logs and through tyres instead of standard plastic equipment. The massive flood-lit sports oval hosts regular cricket and footy matches, and doubles as an unofficial dog park most evenings with 15 to 20 dogs running around. The reserve has BBQ facilities, a sandpit playground, basketball court, and exceptionally well-maintained grass that locals say is among the greenest in Perth's suburbs. Birdlife is notable here. Kookaburras, rainbow lorikeets, pink and grey galahs, black cockatoos and willie wagtails all nest or visit regularly. The Willagee Rugby League Football Club has its clubhouse on site. A cafe sits right next door. Dogs are welcome, though keeping them on lead in certain areas is advisable. The surrounding streets stay quiet, making it practical for families.
