WATERHAVEN BLVD PARK

Public BBQ

Waterhaven Boulevard Park in Point Cook combines natural creek-side beauty with well-thought-out family facilities. The two barbecue stations handle weekend crowds adequately, while the acclaimed playground keeps children thoroughly engaged. Walking tracks along the creek provide lovely strolls for birdwatchers, though frustratingly placed garden beds block sightlines between BBQ areas and the playground. The expansive lawns invite proper games of cricket, with enough room for multiple families to spread out comfortably. The glaring omission of water fountains means packing drinks is essential,a surprising oversight in an otherwise well-equipped park. Despite seasonal mosquito invasions near the water and occasional litter issues, this remains one of Point Cook's more appealing outdoor destinations. The combination of scenic creek views, varied recreational options, and functional BBQ facilities creates genuine appeal for family gatherings, even if some design choices leave parents scratching their heads.
