VALLA RESERVE

Public BBQ

A beautiful spot where the river meets the ocean, with shady trees, public toilets and lovely picnic grounds. Nature is the appeal — goannas, lizards, abundant birdlife and walking trails — and a wooden footbridge crossing the inlet is steps away. The shallow creek winding through makes it a safe and interesting place for children to play, and the beach is superb at sunset. Dogs are welcome off leash. A caravan park backs onto the reserve. Markets are held here on the first Saturday of the month, with stalls, live music and food from the local service club.
