TWIN WATERS PARK AND RESERVE

Public BBQ

Twin Waters Park sits beside a lovely man-made lake with decent birdlife, though the maintenance situation is frankly appalling. The playground equipment shows promise with its full fencing and shade cloth, but after rain it becomes a proper mud pit. The walking circuit around the water is pleasant enough for dog walkers, and families appreciate the free barbecues and modern play area with sandpit and bark chip flooring. However, the glaring absence of public toilets means planning your visit carefully, you'll need to stop elsewhere first. The vandalized fencing and general tired appearance suggest this spot has bags of potential that's simply not being realized. Street parking is limited, but it makes a reasonable halfway stop between Sydney and the south coast if you can overlook the maintenance shortcomings.
