TOWNSVILLE RECREATIONAL BOAT PARK

Public BBQ

Townsville Recreational Boat Park serves boaties and families with multiple boat ramps, ample trailer parking, and taps to flush motors straight out of the water. The park features a jetty and bank access for fishing, where visitors report catching decent-sized crabs. A compact playground includes a popular merry-go-round swing and climbing equipment that appeals to kids and teenagers. Undercover picnic tables and BBQ facilities are scattered throughout the well-maintained grounds. The amenities block provides toilets and other facilities. Parking is plentiful for both cars and boat trailers. One significant safety note: crocodiles frequent these waters, so visitors should limit time at the boat ramp and river banks. The location offers a practical setup for fishing trips and family outings, with shops nearby for supplies.
