TOORONGO FALLS RESERVE

Public BBQ

Toorongo Falls Reserve sits about 10 minutes from Noojee, accessible via a well-maintained road with clear signage and breathtaking valley views. The reserve features abundant parking and three portable toilets at the trailhead. The main attraction is a circular walking trail through lush bush, taking around 45 minutes return or up to an hour at an easy pace. The path leads to two waterfalls, with the first reached in roughly 10 minutes and the second another 10 minutes beyond. Some visitors note the signage could be clearer to help locate the more impressive waterfall. A free camping area sits about 500 metres before the falls car park, offering long drop toilets and fire pits (bring your own power and water). The river provides spots for swimming. The reserve maintains a peaceful, fresh atmosphere with natural beauty and the constant sound of flowing water. Located approximately 1.5 hours from Melbourne, it makes an excellent family day trip combining waterfalls, walking trails, and optional camping in scenic hill country.
