TIMBERLANE PARK

Public BBQ

Timberlane Park presents itself as one of those wonderfully unpretentious community spaces that somehow manages to be all things to all people - and mostly succeeds. The generous expanse of green near Woodvale Secondary College doubles as both battleground for foam dart enthusiasts and venue for the City of Joondalup's Music in the Park concerts, where eclectic performers compete with the distant hum of traffic. The playground strikes that Goldilocks balance - neither overwhelmingly large nor disappointingly small - while mature trees provide blessed shade for weekend picnickers. Dog owners appreciate the relaxed atmosphere, though the uneven, bumpy grass might challenge those seeking perfectly manicured lawns. The attached community hall, while admittedly showing its age with dated interiors, compensates with practical amenities including a well-equipped kitchen.
