TILBURY COVE

Public BBQ

Tilbury Cove offers a semi-sheltered pocket of Culburra Beach where families find respite from the crowds, even during peak holiday periods. The beach transforms with the tides, revealing fascinating rock pools at super low tides during full moon phases, though the rocky, seaweed-laden seabed makes nearby Culburra or Worrain beaches better swimming options. A clean playground and BBQ facilities anchor the spot, complemented by adequate amenities that create a pleasant, unpretentious atmosphere. The location particularly appeals to dog owners seeking beach access. Visitors should note that jellyfish, blue bottles, and Portuguese Man O'War occasionally wash ashore along this stretch of Jervis Bay, so checking conditions before swimming proves worthwhile.
