TENTERFIELD SWIMMING POOL

Public BBQ

Tenterfield Swimming Pool strikes you as the sort of place where Australia got community facilities exactly right. The water temperature hits that perfect sweet spot that makes you wonder why more pools can't manage this simple miracle. Josh and his team run the place with genuine warmth, the kind of service that makes you feel welcome rather than merely tolerated. The grounds are immaculately maintained, which shouldn't surprise anyone but somehow always does. There's a proper toddler pool that actually accommodates families rather than cramming them into a corner, and the main pool offers enough space for serious swimmers without feeling cavernous. The atmosphere leans pleasantly toward the relaxed side of organised, though they do maintain certain standards about entry technique, apparently rolling into the pool registers differently than jumping to their well-trained ears. Fair enough.
