Public BBQ

A small playground beside the pond at Glenwood, with a barbecue under a shed and plenty of benches and seating around it, which makes it an easy spot to eat lunch while the children play. The equipment suits toddlers and very young children better than older ones, who tend to run out of things to do quickly. There is no shade cloth over the playground itself, so it is best used early in the morning or towards sunset rather than in the middle of a hot day. The pond edge collects a fair amount of litter, and it is worth keeping small children back from the water.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Blacktown council.

You should first check with Blacktown council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
