SURAT SPORTS RECREATION GROUND

Public BBQ

Surat Sports Recreation Ground proved a genuine surprise during my Queensland travels. What initially appeared as a standard country sporting facility revealed itself as something rather special. The standout feature has to be the ladies' amenities - complete with hot water showers that would put many caravan parks to shame. It's no wonder travellers are pulling in specifically for these facilities. The grounds themselves are impressively versatile, catering to football matches while doubling as family recreation space. The kids' play area, anchored by a particularly thrilling flying fox, kept the younger crowd thoroughly entertained. Clean toilets, decent parking, and a functional canteen round out the practical necessities. For travelling families, this spot delivers far more than your typical roadside stop. The combination of proper facilities and recreational options makes it worth the detour.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
