SUNSET PARK

Public BBQ

A park on the Nightcliff foreshore with ocean views, limestone cliffs and inlets below, and the sunsets Darwin is famous for. Barbecues and an unusual number of tables and chairs are scattered about, from coffee-table height up to full dining size, with a popular playground, an outdoor gym for the adults and plenty of grass for children to run about safely. It stays clean despite the crowds. Parking is plentiful once you know which road to take down to it. The toilets are there but basic, and on days like Australia Day you need to arrive early to claim a table or a patch of grass.
