STRETTON WAY RESERVE

Public BBQ

Stretton Way Reserve presents itself as a promising family destination with modern amenities, though the reality proves somewhat mixed. The reserve features three substantial gazebos providing excellent shelter for barbecue gatherings, complemented by two flat-plate grills that handle the cooking duties admirably. The playground equipment looks impressive from a distance – there's even a tic-tac-toe feature for the kids – but closer inspection reveals the unfortunate reality of urban vandalism, with graffiti and questionable hygiene issues that rather dampen the enthusiasm. Still, when the facilities are clean, it functions well as a family barbecue spot. The cycling track adds an extra dimension for active children, while the small basketball court keeps older kids entertained. The location proves convenient, with shops, cafes, and restaurants within easy reach for any forgotten supplies or post-barbecue treats. With better maintenance and community respect, this could be a genuinely excellent local facility.
