STRATHFIELDSAYE RECREATION RESERVE

Public BBQ

A well-facilitated reserve for anyone sports-minded, with ovals, cricket training nets and netball courts, home to the local football and cricket clubs. There is a function room, a play space nearby, a free barbecue and plenty of on-site parking. The volunteer-run canteen is a highlight, with good variety and pies that have a following. A few things would improve it: more seating around both ovals, some small sheltered grandstands, a better scoreboard, and more separation between the player boxes. Worth noting that the location shown on mapping apps is incorrect.
