STANLEY STREET RESERVE PLAYGROUND

Public BBQ

Stanley Street Reserve Playground in Glengowrie buzzes with activity around its delightful bee theme. The centrepiece honeycomb slide draws kids like, well, bees to honey, while the climbing frame resembles a proper hive with segmented chambers that prevent any serious tumbles. Educational bee facts scattered throughout make this more than just another playground - it's genuinely engaging for curious minds. The BBQ facilities are spotless and well-positioned, though the lack of toilets remains a persistent sting for families. Tennis courts sit tantalizingly adjacent but frustratingly off-limits to the public. The compact car park turns muddy after rain, desperately needing gravel. Still, watching toddlers navigate the thoughtfully designed equipment while older kids tackle the flying fox creates a sweet family atmosphere that keeps visitors returning.
