STACEYS BRIDGE

Public BBQ

STACEYS BRIDGE offers a pristine free camping experience along the babbling Nariel River, where grassed sites accommodate both tents and caravans on either side of the road. The well-maintained campground features drop toilets with running water, scattered fire pits, and picnic tables throughout spacious grounds. Wheeler Creek winds through the area, providing excellent fly fishing opportunities and swimming holes in deeper pools. Even during busy Easter periods, there's typically room for more visitors among the lovely camping community. The peaceful retreat boasts bins, abundant firewood, and meticulously clean facilities, though campers should bring extra toilet paper and take rubbish home. Creek water is available, but there's no power. The main Omeo road can see truck traffic, but the tranquil setting beside pristine waters makes this a worthwhile destination after days of driving.
