ST CLAIR OVAL

Public BBQ

St Clair Oval emerges as one of those pleasantly unpretentious neighbourhood gems that proves the best barbecue spots often hide in plain sight. The oval presents a well-designed family setup with dedicated facilities positioned strategically near both playground equipment and comfortable seating areas. What strikes you immediately is the thoughtful layout – parents can monitor children at play while tending to sausages on the hotplates, a design clearly conceived by someone who understands the delicate choreography of family outings. The playground equipment appears well-maintained and age-appropriate, while the surrounding ovals provide ample space for cricket matches or impromptu football games. The area offers sufficient hotplates for multiple families, though weekend popularity means arriving early proves wise. One practical consideration: street parking only, so factor in a brief walk with your esky and supplies.
