SOUTHBANK BOULEVARD

Public BBQ

Southbank Boulevard serves as a popular family spot in Sheidow Park, perched on a hilltop with expansive green space and well-maintained facilities. The fenced playground caters to multiple age groups, from toddlers to older children, with equipment that has earned consistent praise over the years. A basketball hoop provides entertainment for teens while younger kids tackle the play structures. The park comes equipped with BBQ facilities, a gazebo, and an Exceloo toilet system (closed at night). Clean amenities and plenty of shaded seating areas make it comfortable for extended visits. The location has become a regular weekend event venue, with families frequently booking the sheltered areas for parties and gatherings. The hilltop position creates persistent wind conditions, so jackets are recommended even on warm days. Some visitors note limited options for very young children under two. Parking struggles to keep up with the park's popularity, particularly during busy weekends. Open grassy areas accommodate casual football and basketball games. The combination of facilities and playground quality draws regular crowds despite the parking limitations.
