SKY WINDOW LOOKOUT PICNIC AREA

Public BBQ

A lookout and picnic area high in Eungella National Park, reached by a steep, winding drive that pays off the moment the valley opens up. A 250-metre circuit through rainforest links three viewing areas looking out over the Pioneer Valley towards Marian, and it is flat and smooth enough for prams and wheelchairs. Picnic tables and seating sit under the trees, with toilets, clear signage and ample parking, and the whole site is kept very clean. Longer walks lead off from here for anyone wanting more than a leg stretch, and staying quiet often brings native animals out nearby. Cloud can close in and blot the view out entirely, so it is worth a second try if the first visit is socked in.
