SHELLEY PARK

Public BBQ

Shelley Park emerges as a surprisingly versatile recreation destination that extends well beyond its barbecue facilities. The expansive oval dominates the landscape, complemented by well-maintained barbecue areas that benefit from the park's standout feature: exceptional lighting that extends well into the evening hours. Dog owners have discovered this as a prime location, particularly on weekday evenings when crowds thin out considerably. The spacious grounds provide ample room for pets to exercise freely while families can utilise the barbecue facilities and nearby playground equipment. Shaded areas throughout the park offer respite during warmer months, with established trees providing natural cover for both spectators and diners. The sports facilities regularly host local matches, creating a genuine community atmosphere. However, visitors should prepare for parking challenges, as the designated areas require a considerable walk to reach the main facilities.
