SHARK BAY

Public BBQ

Shark Bay presents a compelling coastal barbecue destination where the Pacific meets practical family facilities. The beachfront location offers excellent swimming opportunities, though visitors should note that high tide can reduce sandy beach access - making it particularly appealing for fishing enthusiasts who appreciate the bar conditions. Well-maintained public toilets and picnic shelters provide essential amenities within easy reach of the waterfront. The barbecue facilities are thoughtfully positioned in shady bush areas, with picnic tables scattered naturally throughout the space rather than arranged in rigid rows. This creates intimate dining spots while maintaining the relaxed coastal atmosphere that defines Evans Head's charm. The absence of commercial fast food establishments nearby reinforces the authentic, unhurried character that draws families seeking genuine beach experiences. Parking proves abundant, accommodating both day-trippers and those arriving with boats or recreational equipment.
