RUTHERFORD PARADE

Public BBQ

Rutherford Parade sits at Warneet's waterfront, centered around a well-used boat ramp. The launch is straightforward, though the ramps run relatively narrow and deeper hulls need to pick their spots carefully. Two ramps work better for larger boats, and launching at higher tide makes things easier. A pontoon serves the area, though it's on the small side for the amount of use. Parking fills up quickly when boats are coming and going. Fish cleaning stations get regular use, and a bait and tackle shop on site covers most basic needs. A pier extends into the water and produces decent fishing when conditions line up right. The surrounding area offers walking paths and open space for picnics or a barbecue, with the waterfront location providing views across the inlet. Midges can be thick at certain times, but the spot stays relatively peaceful when they're not around.
