RUSDEN PICNIC GROUND

Public BBQ

Rosa Brook's quiet picnic area sits away from Margaret River's main tourist spots, surrounded by native bush. Bird calls and the sound of eucalypt bark peeling from old trees provide the soundtrack. The facilities cover the basics well, clean toilets, functional barbecues, and solid picnic benches worn smooth by years of use. A walking track winds down to a small dam, but take care on the path where fallen bark makes the ground slippery underfoot. The real draw here is the sense of space and quiet. While other Margaret River picnic grounds fill up quickly on weekends, this spot stays relatively empty. It's the kind of place where families can spread out without neighbours at the next table, and the bush setting feels properly Australian rather than manicured. The lack of crowds is the main attraction.
