ROSELLA PARK

Public BBQ

Tucked into the heart of Harris Park, this compact community space sits conveniently beside the area's excellent Indian eateries, making it perfect for a post-curry stroll. The recent renovation has given the park fresh appeal, complete with a new drinking water fountain and clean toilets - though the evening crowds certainly test these facilities. The children's area delivers with swings, slides, and climbing equipment that keeps the little ones entertained, while parents can claim one of the few benches for an impromptu barbecue picnic. The large green space provides room to wander, and the multicultural atmosphere makes it easy to strike up conversations with fellow families. Fair warning though - maintenance seems to be slipping since the renovation honeymoon period ended. The bushes are getting unruly, and evening visits come with their share of uninvited six-legged guests. Peak times can feel like a small festival, which is either delightfully social or frustratingly cramped, depending on your mood.
