ROMSEY ECOTHERAPY PARK

Public BBQ

Tucked discretely behind Cobaw Health, this remarkable transformation of the former Romsey Primary School site delivers an unexpectedly sophisticated recreational experience. The elevated rope course challenges older adventurers while younger visitors gravitate toward the ingenious water features, where they can manipulate flows through various channels and splash elements - a brilliant cooling strategy on sweltering days. The meandering pathways wind through meticulously maintained native gardens punctuated by striking sculptures that elevate this beyond typical playground territory. Balance beams, flying fox, and bucket swings provide classic entertainment, while the sand and water play areas keep the youngest explorers thoroughly occupied. The park's open design offers excellent sight lines for supervision, though some visitors noted the lack of perimeter fencing as a consideration for families. Additional BBQ facilities and undercover areas would enhance the picnic potential, particularly given the abundant shade and scenic setting that makes the drive worthwhile. What strikes you most is the thoughtful integration of art, nature, and play - creating a space that genuinely caters to contemplative adults seeking tranquility alongside energetic families pursuing adventure.
