Public BBQ

A peaceful, green wetlands reserve at Riverwood with paved walking tracks, plenty of open grass and enough screening that the traffic stays out of sight. The playground suits children from about two, with swings, slides and a spider web, and there is a second, quieter one tucked away that regulars regard as the find. An outdoor gym and a barbecue area sit alongside, and the paths are good for scooters and small bikes. The little lake is the highlight, with ducks, cockatoos and lorikeets around it - the request from locals is not to feed them. The station and main street are both an easy walk. The one shortcoming is the toilets: there is just the one, and it could do with attention.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
