REMEMBRANCE PARK

Public BBQ

Stumbled upon Remembrance Park during a road trip, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be. This isn't your typical roadside stop – it's a proper destination that's clearly been designed with families in mind. The playground equipment here is genuinely impressive, featuring massive slides that had even the adults eyeing them enviously, plus those clever in-ground trampolines that seem to mesmerise children for ages. The facilities are spot-on too. Clean toilets with a proper parents' room, and they've recently upgraded the amenities block which shows in the quality. There are a couple of barbecues scattered about for those planning a proper picnic, and the whole place maintains that tidy, well-cared-for atmosphere that makes you want to linger longer than planned. The war memorial adds a touch of solemnity to the space, reminding you this is more than just a playground. What strikes me most is how thoughtfully everything's been laid out – no dangerous gaps for little ones to slip through, equipment suitable for various ages, and decent parking for caravans.
