RAZORBACK LOOKOUT

Public BBQ

Perched on the headland overlooking Evans Head, Razorback Lookout delivers sweeping coastal panoramas that stretch from the Tweed headlands to the southern bay. The elevated viewing platforms capture spectacular vistas where visitors regularly spot dolphins frolicking in the waters below, while winter months bring whale-watching opportunities along the migration route. The facility centres around well-positioned picnic tables and free barbecue facilities, though seating could benefit from expansion given the location's popularity. Public toilets sit higher than the access road, functional if not pristine. Limited parking directly fronts the lookout with five dedicated spaces, though additional parking nearby requires only a short walk. The thoughtfully designed space includes multiple viewing platforms, each offering distinct perspectives of the coastline. Shaded seating areas provide respite from the coastal sun, while maritime artefacts add historical context to the natural setting. Dogs are welcome on leads, making this an ideal family destination for stretching legs and recharging spirits.
