Public BBQ

An unusually complete park at Pooraka: a recently updated fenced playground with something for every age, including several wheelchair-accessible pieces and a drum and bongo set, plus a BMX track with dirt jumps and bends, cardio equipment, and separate fenced enclosures for large and small dogs just behind the playground. Walking tracks run around the wetlands where a pond draws ducks and a good range of birds. There is a shelter with a barbecue, undercover tables, clean toilets and a large green picnic area big enough for an event. Two small notes: seating is limited, so chairs are worth bringing if the undercover tables are taken, and a determined four-year-old can reach the playground gate latches.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Salisbury council.

You should first check with Salisbury council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
