POCOCK PARK

Public BBQ

A welcome discovery during the long drive through regional NSW, this facility represents small-town Australia at its pragmatic best. The enclosed playground keeps younger children safely contained while parents can actually relax for five minutes. Brand new amenities throughout suggest recent investment, and it shows - everything works as intended. The sheltered BBQ areas provide proper relief from the inland sun, while clean toilets solve the eternal road trip dilemma. Only peculiarity encountered was aggressive static electricity that gave my daughter an impressive shock from the playground equipment. Minor irritation aside, it's exactly the sort of well-maintained community asset that makes country travel bearable.
