PLOUGH AND HARROW, WESTERN SYDNEY PARKLANDS

Public BBQ

Stumbled upon this sprawling oasis in Western Sydney's concrete wilderness, and what a delightful surprise it proved to be. The place operates on proper Australian scale - vast BBQ areas that could accommodate a small battalion, all tucked beneath sensibly placed shelters with proper dishwashing facilities. The kids disappeared into what can only be described as playground paradise, complete with tree-top adventures and zip lines that had them shrieking with glee. Early arrival is essential on weekends unless you fancy circling like a vulture waiting for a barbecue spot. The walking tracks wind through genuine bushland, offering blessed relief from suburban sprawl. Clean toilets, ample parking, and a duck pond that provides endless entertainment for the smaller humans.
