PIONEER PARK AMPHITHEATRE

Public BBQ

A park at Nanango converted from the old railway station, with the platform and buildings still recognisable, now surrounded by nice covered tables and benches. Free caravan and motorhome stays of up to two days are allowed. The toilets are very clean and in good repair, there is plenty of space for children to run, and the RSL is a short walk with a supermarket a few blocks on. The skate park is the one disappointment: close to twenty years old, with a surface like bitumen that is rough on boards and punishing in a fall. A large ramp was added a few years back, but skaters would rather the money had gone into resurfacing what was already there.
