PICTON MEMORIAL PARK

Public BBQ

Tucked within Picton's memorial parklands, this barbecue spot offers a pleasantly understated setting for family gatherings. The park's mature trees provide welcome shade over the picnic tables, though recent tree management has opened up some areas considerably. What sets this place apart is its genuinely dog-friendly atmosphere - you'll often find families with their four-legged companions enjoying the open spaces alongside their barbecue lunch. The facilities are straightforward: a reliable BBQ and nearby tables that do the job without fanfare. It's the sort of place that works precisely because it doesn't try too hard - just a practical spot where locals know they can count on a decent outdoor meal in peaceful surroundings. The memorial setting adds a touch of quiet dignity to what might otherwise be just another park barbecue.
