PHOENIX PARK

Public BBQ

Phoenix Park on Prinsep Street in Norseman offers something wonderfully unexpected in this goldfields town. The park has a fascinating collection of mining equipment that transforms a simple park visit into an impromptu industrial heritage tour. The rusty relics speak of Norseman's gritty past, while a gentle creek meanders through the grounds, creating a peaceful contrast to the mechanical giants on display. The barbecue facilities and tables make it a practical lunch spot, and when the town's other parks fill up, this place usually has space to spare. The toilets provide welcome relief after long desert drives, though their availability seems to vary with the town's maintenance schedule.
