PEREGIAN PARK

Public BBQ

A superbly set-up park right on the patrolled beach at Peregian, with open grass for a picnic, a skate bowl that the local kids love, and a playground under generous shade sails that works for a wide range of ages. Picnic tables and covered barbecue spots sit under shady trees, and the surf club's recent upgrade has left clean new toilets with a parents' room, plus an outside shower for rinsing off after a swim. The beach is a minute's walk with direct access. Shops are just across the road for ice cream, fish and chips, pizza and coffee, and parking is easy. Dogs must be on lead and are barred from a stretch of the beach; the off-lead beach at Marcus is a pleasant thirty-minute walk. Quieter and, many would say, nicer than Noosa.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
