Public BBQ

A large and unusually varied stretch of the Adelaide Park Lands on Unley Road. The gated playground is the headline, with water play and sand play that children will not leave - bring buckets, spades, a towel and a change of clothes - shaded by big old trees with plenty of grass to sit on and undercover barbecue areas and picnic tables alongside. The dog park is among the best in Adelaide, with separate small and large dog areas, drinking water, bags, bins, shade, night lighting and seating for the humans. There are dirt tracks for BMX riders and well-kept sports pitches, plus a cafe attached to a tree climbing operation. That cafe holds the only toilet, so plan around its hours. It gets busy on weekends and through the holidays, and parking tightens accordingly.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Adelaide council.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
