OXLEY LOOKOUT

Public BBQ

Oxley Lookout sits high above Tamworth on White Street, offering 180-degree views across the city and surrounding countryside. The sunset here is the main draw, with plenty of visitors timing their arrival to catch the sky changing colours over the valley below. The lookout has several viewing platforms at different levels, all accessible by car or a moderate walk up the hill. There's disabled access, public toilets, and water on site. Well-maintained gardens and multiple picnic areas with tables make it easy to settle in for a while. Parking is plentiful, which matters when the place gets busy on weekends with families, workers on their breaks, and people using the walking trails that branch out from the lookout. It's an easy drive up and back on good roads. The facilities and the views make it worth stopping if you're passing through Tamworth or looking for a break from travelling.
