ONE TREE POINT RESERVE

Public BBQ

Perched at the mouth of the Tuross River, One Tree Point Reserve offers a distinctive coastal experience that's refreshingly honest about what it delivers. The compact beach here isn't your typical family splash-about spot – the water drops off rather dramatically close to shore, making it better suited for confident swimmers than paddling toddlers. What it lacks in gentle shallows, it compensates for with remarkably clear water that visitors consistently praise as pristine. The real drawcard is the elevated perspective from One Tree Lookout, which provides sweeping views across the river mouth and coastline. Barbecue facilities positioned on the headland take full advantage of this scenic setting, while practical amenities including toilets and change rooms are thoughtfully positioned at the southern end, accessible via a pleasant walkway. Fair warning: debris washing up from the river can be an issue, particularly after weather events. The beach itself is intimate rather than expansive.
