OLD BONALBO PIONEER,S PARK

Public BBQ

A quiet little roadside camp at Old Bonalbo with a wood-fired barbecue that is the making of the place - heat some water, cook dinner, and watch the fire for the rest of the evening. The toilet block is new and surprisingly clean with no smell, though there is only one cubicle and paper is not guaranteed. There is a wheelchair ramp up to it, but no paved space linking it to where you would park, which rather defeats the purpose. Water comes from a length of hose off the tank; there is no wash basin. Two tables sit under shelters that could stand to be larger. The road is quiet enough that overnight noise is not an issue, and there is room to turn a large rig, though three of them would fill the site. There is access to the creek. Best avoided in the wet.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Kyogle council.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

You should first check with Kyogle council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
