Public BBQ

A large bush park at Oatley with beautiful views, an extensive playground and walking tracks leading off through the bush - including one that passes an interesting historic site a little way down. The equipment suits children of about three and up, with some big obstacles that little ones enjoy testing themselves on. There are plenty of picnic tables, a barbecue, a water station and lots of parking. Two things to plan around: this is a real bush park with no fences at all, and it is big enough that a child who bolts can get lost quickly; and the toilets, while in the park, sit about 200 metres from the playground. It gets busy at weekends, so come early to secure a table. There are no shops nearby.

Generally No! The BBQs are first come, first serve. However, if you plan on having a larger event then please check with Georges River council.

You should first check with Georges River council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
