OAKLANDS ESTATE RESERVE

Public BBQ

Tucked away in Oaklands Park, this reserve feels like stumbling upon a secret wetland sanctuary. The moment you arrive, it's clear the ducks have claimed territorial superiority - visitors are decidedly outnumbered by the feathered residents who've made this their permanent address. The reserve strikes that rare balance between wild and welcoming. Dense trees create natural corridors where countless birds have established residence, while well-maintained barbecue facilities and modern toilets prove someone's been thinking practically about human visitors too. The sealed walking paths accommodate wheelchairs and prams, while families spread across generous grassed areas.
