OAKDEN PARK

Public BBQ

Roy Amer Reserve features six small to medium ponds connected by flat, level walking tracks suitable for prams and all fitness levels. The wetlands support diverse wildlife including Australian pelicans, white ibis, white-faced herons, ducks, fish, turtles, and frogs. Bridges cross between the ponds, with plenty of benches positioned around the water for birdwatching. The reserve includes barbecue facilities, a playground, public toilets with disability access, car parking, and an onsite cafe that welcomes dogs at outdoor tables. The gentle walkways make it accessible for families, seniors, and dog walkers. While there's no large playground, children can bring bikes or scooters to ride along the paths. The park stays clean and peaceful, with the cafe offering fresh-squeezed juice drinks at reasonable prices.
