NORNALUP JETTY

Public BBQ

Nornalup Jetty occupies a particularly scenic stretch of riverbank where the water reflects the surrounding hills in that unsettling mirror-like way that makes photographers lose entire afternoons. The facility proves surprisingly comprehensive for what appears to be a modest riverside stop: a modern kayak jetty extends alongside the main structure, barbecue facilities sit ready for use, and a playground ensures younger visitors remain occupied while adults contemplate the view. The location serves as a natural pause point between Walpole and the Valley of the Giants, though many find themselves lingering longer than planned. Swimming and kayaking opportunities take advantage of the calm river conditions, while fishing spots along the jetty attract those with more patience than this reviewer typically possesses. Toilets are available, which matters more than one might initially consider when planning a riverside afternoon. The combination of practical amenities and genuine natural beauty makes this more than just a convenient rest stop.
