MURRAY VALLEY REGIONAL PARK

Public BBQ

Murray Valley Regional Park serves as Moama's primary boat ramp, offering a spacious launch area with generous parking that's considered superior to nearby Echuca facilities. The ramp itself can be tricky to navigate, and boaters should watch for strong currents when retrieving vessels. The rocky shoreline means there's no sandy beach to temporarily beach boats while fetching trailers. Beyond boating, the park functions well for picnics with tables scattered under shade trees and clean toilet facilities. A 2km riverbank walking track winds through the area. The site has recovered from past flooding when the river was closed. Road noise is noticeable but doesn't dominate. Bull ants can be an issue in warmer months. The adjacent area also hosts mountain bike events. It's a practical riverside stop that prioritizes boat launching over swimming or waterside lounging.
